Movie review : Jeff Who Lives at Home

Plot: Dispatched from his basement room on an errand for his widowed mother, slacker Jeff might discover his destiny when he spends the day with his unhappily married brother as he tracks his possibly adulterous wife.

My thoughts: This is a fun film with lots of heart! Jeff, the main character, a stoner living at home with his mum has an obsession with following the signs and finding his destiny, and one day stumbles across it due to a wrong dial and a name, Kevin. You feel the tension between the brothers and really sense the disfunction of their family. Then there is poor mum, working her guts out to support Jeff, and herself, while along the years loosing her sense of self. That is until one day she receives a kind message from an anonymous co-worker. The failing marriage of Pat and Linda really speaks to the importance of communication, and gives a very realistic ride of emotions. All in all, I found the movie to be a nice little adventure with some fun twists along the way. The movie was well acted and filmed in a quirky way which added to the over all enjoyment of it.
